1. Scope and acceptance
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the FileKitPro applications for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS (“FileKitPro” or the “App”). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. The Apple Media Services Terms and any mandatory platform terms may also apply to your download and purchases.
FileKitPro is independently developed and offered through the Apple App Store. It is not an online file-conversion service. References on this website to the App describe native device software, not the former web-based product.
2. What the App does
FileKitPro provides local tools to work with supported PDFs, office documents, images, video, audio, subtitles, and certain archives. Available actions include conversion, editing, compression, merging, splitting, annotation, and OCR where supported. Some workflows depend on your device, operating-system capabilities, file codec, or separately installed software. Not every input/output format or operation is available on every device.
We may improve, modify, remove, or discontinue features for compatibility, security, licensing, or product reasons. Back up important files before editing or converting them; conversions, compression, OCR, metadata operations, and redaction may produce irreversible changes to exported copies.
3. License and acceptable use
Subject to these Terms and applicable App Store rules, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on devices you own or control. You retain ownership of files you import and create. You are responsible for having the rights to process, transform, or share the content you use.
Do not use the App to violate laws or intellectual-property rights, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malicious content, reverse-engineer protected components contrary to applicable law, or evade digital rights management. The App does not promise to remove DRM or recover encrypted documents without appropriate authorization.
4. Free tools and FileKitPro+
Supported tools and formats are available in the free version, subject to capacity limits. Standard processing generally supports one file at a time; supported PDF and video merge operations permit two inputs without FileKitPro+. FileKitPro+ expands batch processing, merge limits, and saving multiple results.
FileKitPro+ may be offered as a monthly subscription, yearly subscription, or one-time lifetime purchase. The prices, billing periods, regional availability, eligibility, and any offers displayed in the App Store purchase sheet are authoritative. A “lifetime” purchase means access to the currently offered FileKitPro+ entitlement for the supported lifetime of the product, not a guarantee that every service, feature, or operating system will remain available forever.
5. Billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds
Payments, subscriptions, and purchase restoration use Apple’s in-app purchase system. Auto-renewing subscriptions renew unless canceled under Apple’s applicable rules, generally at least 24 hours before the end of a billing period. Manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
The one-time lifetime purchase does not automatically cancel an existing monthly or yearly subscription. Cancel any subscription separately if you no longer want renewal charges. Restore eligible purchases with the App’s Restore Purchases control. Apple handles payment processing and refund requests subject to applicable law and platform policies; contact Apple through its official purchase-support channels for billing issues.
6. Files and privacy
File processing runs on your device. FileKitPro does not upload files to its servers to perform conversion. You control which files you import, export, share, or delete. If you choose to send results to another app, location, or provider, that destination's terms and privacy practices apply. Optional external services, Apple platform functions, and separately installed utilities may have independent terms.
For details about on-device data, App Store purchases, support emails, and use of this website, read the FileKitPro Privacy Policy.
7. Accuracy and availability
Output may differ from the original due to format limitations, lossy encoding, missing fonts, language recognition, metadata behavior, or third-party library compatibility. Review generated files carefully, especially before relying on redactions, signatures, forms, timestamps, subtitles, or professional documents. We do not guarantee that every conversion will succeed or preserve all formatting and metadata.
8. Third-party software and services
The App includes or uses third-party software subject to its respective notices and licenses. Some optional Mac workflows may require additional software not supplied with the App. Apple provides the App Store, in-app purchase, and relevant operating-system services. Any third-party product you choose to use is governed by its own terms.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, FileKitPro is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability, error-free conversions, or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or data, arising from use of the App. This paragraph does not limit liability where applicable law prohibits such a limitation.
10. Changes, termination, and governing rights
We may revise these Terms as the App evolves. The updated version will be published on this page with a new revision date. If a change requires notice or consent under applicable law, we will provide it. You may stop using the App at any time; termination does not automatically cancel App Store subscriptions. Mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction remain unaffected.
11. Contact
For questions about these Terms or the App, email [email protected]. For purchase cancellations or refunds, use Apple’s official billing channels.
